Compact Builds

Mini-ITX Gaming PC Guide

Small form factor builds prove you don’t need a massive tower to game seriously. The challenge lies in maintaining good thermals and acoustics while cramming powerful hardware into a tiny space.

Case selection matters more in SFF builds than anywhere else. Popular options like the NZXT H1 or Cooler Master NR200P offer excellent layouts that simplify building. Make sure your case supports your GPU length most modern cards are surprisingly long.

Cooling requires careful planning. Many ITX cases work best with low-profile coolers or small AIOs. The Noctua NH-L9i remains a favorite for air cooling, while 240mm AIOs fit in many ITX cases if mounted properly.

Component selection gets restrictive. Your motherboard choice is obviously limited to Mini-ITX, and these boards often cost more than their larger counterparts. SFX power supplies are mandatory, and quality units from Corsair or Silverstone ensure reliability in tight confines.

Cable management becomes an art form. Every millimeter counts, so modular power supplies aren’t just nice they’re essential. Plan your build carefully and don’t rush assembly.
